Gosford vs Kariong

"First grade finished the season with a local derby against Kariong who had to win in order to qualify for the semi finals. Gosford came out of the blocks hard and played outstanding rugby to go ahead two tries to nil in the early stages. Kariong fought back with three tries of their own before Gosford produced some magic to score a try just before half time. The second half was dominated by Kariong but Gosford never gave up and made some brilliant last ditch defensive efforts. In the end Kariong were too strong and got a hard earned victory. Special mention to the girls who organised ladies day. It was a lot of fun playing with a dj in the back ground and the hill full of our loyal female supporters.
