JUNIOR COACHES COMMENTS

U8s | "A huge effort from our guys this week - a double-header vs. the ends of the coast - Woy Woy & Northlakes, both teams only had 7 players so we had a 6 player bench and there was lots of room on the field for open rugby.
In the first stanza it was the lions from the south and it was a lightning fast affair. Quality rugby from the little devils saw them run in 5 tries but they struggled to contain the opposition at times (WW had their own little Tongan Thor) and they posted 3 as well. The second section saw a fantastic display by the teams with both open running rugby and classic phase play being exhibited - a draw was a fitting result as the Devils were able to tie it up in the dying moments, 3-3.
Good rugby all round but special efforts from Aiden the smallest on ground took on all comers and distributed the ball judiciously - and Jack showed his usual class along with perfect technique in the clean out that we had practiced on Thursday.
See you all at the game and then at the Showground for photos & Family Day!" - Tatts
U9s | "Today was a tri-game with woy Woy and kariong. However, kariong only had half a team. As a result, half of our team ended up playing three halves to help kariong out!
All three teams showed great sportsmanship and supported each other which was great to see.
Special shout out to Charlie and Ethan for helping out the team again." - Thomas Finn
U11s | "Gosford 59 ( Dylan Witcher 4, Zane Cash 3, Lucas Stupniker, Oberon Huntley tries Zane Cash 7 conversions)
The 11’s took on the Lions from Woy Woy running out 59 to nil winners. Nick and I asked the boys to work hard on our defensive structures and our clean out laying the platform for Zane to let the backs run. Dylan was outstanding again bending the opposition line with strong carries scoring 4 tries, Dylan was well supported by Xander Leech who is always first to clean out when the ball gets wide.
Josh Hawkins backed up his man of the match game last week with another strong game doing all the dirty stuff required of a tight forward. Sam Tracey had one of his better games this season with some strong carries through the middle of the field.
Finally Zane Cash lead from the front today scoring 29 points and setting up several tries. The boys are playing a really good brand of rugby showing signs of improvement with every match. We have a lot of talent in the 11’s and it is pleasing to see them improve on a weekly basis." - Mal Spinks

U17s | " The U17’s took the filed with nine players either injured or away on holidays. From the kick off we took charge of the game, spending most of the first half well down in Warnervale’s territory, in what was a thought physical encounter. Unfortunately in the second half, fatigue set in and our “Red Wall” out wide did not stand strong on quite a few occasions. Final score Gosford 24 - Warnervale 46.
Best on park were Jonathan, Daniel and “The Main Man (Pat). " Steve Keiler
