U17's | " With numbers slowly returning from injury, 18 young men were able to have a run for the Devils against our old foes Avoca in the match of the round. The U17’s have been working on a new attack structure and this was our first opportunity execute it in game conditions. The extremely tough, fast passed, but friendly encounter had us heading to the break 7-0.  The second half was much the same as the first with the boys executing the new plan extremely proficiently, getting over the top of Avoca. This week we also said goodbye to our honorary U17 Devil, Antony, who returns home to France after spending a nearly two months in Australia on a School Exchange Program.

Final Score Gosford 21 – Avoca 10 - Best on Park were Max, Suli and Tappers." -

U8s | "A great game from our amazing 8s - they played on a wider field in a game of 12 on 12 (& 11 on 11 & 10 on 10 & 9 on 9) the reason for the variation was the bruising defence from the little devils, and some pretty hard running in attack, slowly eroded the wildcat clowder!

The game was punctuated by passages of classic rugby with phase play, straight running and offloads the order of the day and in defence it was brutal front on hits and scything cover tackles.

Nat & Tyrone were heavily involved in all facets of play - making metres, distributing ball and stealing possession and all of our players put in great efforts across the park in a dominant 11-2 win. 😈📸" - Tatts

U9's | "The devil's were away against Terrigal Red this week. We tackled hard and made a lot of metres off great supporting play. This week was the first week that the coaches were off for the entire game. This meant that the team had to talk to eachother and organise themselves on the field, which they absolutely did. Their ability to communicate like this, without prior warning, demonstrated how well they have bonded as a team. This would have to be one of the best games of the season." - Thomas Finn

U11's | " Gosford 49 ( Jacob Grayson – Hill 3, Dylan Witcher 3, Xander Leech, Lucas Stupnikar, Oberon Huntley tries, Jacob Grayson – Hill, Lucas Stupnikar conversions) Warnervale 12.

The under 11’s travelled to Warnervale to take on the Wildcats running out convincing winners 49-12. The tasks handed to the boys this week was to focus on our pillar/ post and defensive line as well as showing more attitude/ aggression at the breakdown. Thomas McArdle and Josh Hawkins lead the way at the breakdown securing our ball and placing pressure on the Wildcats ruck. After showing early dominance at the breakdown Jacob was able to unleash Dylan out wide, scoring 3 tries and setting up two more. The boys managed to run in 5 tries to end the first half.

The second half saw our forwards and backs cross the advantage line with every carry, led by Isiaia “ Nuke” Baker, Sam Tracey and Cooper Spinks laying the platform for our backs to run with freedom crossing for a further 4 tries in the second half. Points this week went to Thomas McArdle, Isiaia Baker, Cooper Spinks and Lucas Stupnikar.

The boys once again showed improvements and as coaches that is pleasing. I would like to thank all the mum’s, dad’s, grandparents and significant others for the support you show all the boys not just your own child or children but all the boys. It is pleasing watching the boys improve, but it is also pleasing to see the camaraderie between the boys and support networks continue to form year on year. Being part of a rugby club is more than just a game on a Saturday.

Also a shout out to Zane Cash – Get well soon mate, the boys missed having you out there directing them around the park.

To finish a big thank you needs to go to the organizers and helpers of the family day, it was pleasing to see so many kids and families down at the Showground. The future of any club is based on strong junior participation and development and I believe GRC is building nicely for the future." - Mal Spinks
